I will make announcements on electricity, VAT alfalfa, and land ownership immediately afterwards.” With these words yesterday afternoon, and after 3.5 hours of exhaustive discussion with farmers and ranchers from all over Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis concluded a meeting that had content and symbolism.

Farmers ease roadblocks ahead of meeting with Prime Minister

New decisions are expected tomorrow, as farmers plan to determine their next steps. Specifically, at 11 a.m., a meeting is scheduled in Malgara to set the exact time when farmers will reopen the National Road. Then, at noon, farmers in Halkidiki will withdraw their tractors and allow traffic on the Thessaloniki-Moudania National Road at the Triglia junction.
