Eurogroup today with debt relief still unresolved

Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos is to meet his eurozone counterparts in Brussels on Tuesday for the Eurogroup meeting which is expected to yield approval for up to 11 billion euros in rescue loans, though a firm commitment on alleviating Greece’s debt appears to be rather unlikely.

Will 2016 bring debt relief

Greece wants a deal on debt relief with its euro zone creditors in February to remove financial uncertainty and spur economic recovery, its finance minister said, but euro zone officials said that timetable was very ambitious and likely to slip.
