Another important step towards sustainable tourism was made by the people of Lipsi, aiming at the correct use of water resources produced through desalination. In the context of a global initiative that implements the finish in Greece with the Global Water Partnership - Mediterranean (GWP-Med), an action group with the active support of the Municipality of Lipsi, they equipped all households on the island with special water-saving filters, showing the correct way of use of the devices and assisting in their placement.
Greece is preparing for another tourist season, with tourists already starting to arrive for the summer. According to the forecasts so far, 32 million tourists are expected to reach Greece this year.
