Humanity is not learning its lessons from climate change and protecting the environment, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew said on Tuesday in a message on the "Day of Protecting the Natural Environment" that marks the start of the new ecclesiastical year at the Feast of the Indiction.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Pope Francis discussed the global challenge posed by the coronavirus pandemic and the measures taken to address it, speaking on the telephone on Wednesday.
