Ban on circulation in hotspots and hosting facilities extended to May 10

A joint ministerial decision extending the circulation ban for those hosted in reception and identification centres and hosting facilities throughout Greece, as a protection measure against the spread of the coronavirus, until May 10, was signed by Citizen Protection Minister Mihalis Chrissohoidis, Health Minister Vassilis Kikilias and Migration and Asylum Minister Notis Mitarachi, a Migration Ministry announcement said on Monday.

Holland to send experts and humanitarian aid to Greek hotspots

Alternate Minister of Citizen Protection George Koumoutsakos and Dutch Minister of Migration Ankie Broekers-Knol met in Athens on Thursday and jointly committed to strengthen Greek-Dutch co-operation in matters of migration asylym, including where information technology systems (IT) is involved, as well as in planning and distributing humanitarian aid.
