School children in the final year of high school returned to their classrooms on Monday after two full months since schools were shut down to prevent the spread of Covid-19 on March 11.

"Students, who are already in the process of returning to Greece, will return to their normal activities," Education and Religion Minister Niki Kerameus said on Monday in an interview with radio station Praktoreio 104.9 FM, referring to students who are currently visiting Italy and are about to come back due to the spread of coronavirus in the neighbouring country.

Education and Religion Minister Niki Kerameus had a meeting with Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Issues Marie Royce as well as with representatives of the Senate and of the House of Representatives in Washington.
