Efthymios Lekkas, Professor of Dynamic Tectonics, Applied Geology & Natural Disaster Management at Athens University, mentioned the medium and long-term effects of severe weather front Daniel in a television interview.

Efthymis Lekkas spoke in an interview about climate change leading to a large increase in temperature. The professor of Geology and Natural Disaster Management commented that the fires reinforce the climate crisis and vice versa.

"We still don't know if the 7.7 Richter earthquake that hit southern Turkey on Monday morning was the main one," professor and president of the Earthquake Planning and Protection Organisation of Greece, Efthymios Lekkas, told the Athens-Macedonian News Ahency (ANA).
