Four underwater museums planned for Alonissos and Pagasetic Gulf
The island of Alonissos and the Pagasetic Gulf in the Magnesia region will host the first underwater museums in Greece.

US and Greek marines in joint exercise
A joint exercise was held in the Pagasetic Gulf between the Greek 32nd Marine Brigade and the 1st Army Air Force Brigade with the US 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit - MEU. This is a planned training activity under the Military Cooperation Program between Greece and the USA.

The scientific team of the Ichthyology and Aquatic Environment Department of the University of Thessaly is aiming to create a museum of underwater sculptures at the bottom of the Pagasetic Gulf (Project ART.Reef ).
