Long-time PASOK minister and deputy Akis Tsohatzopoulos died on Friday at the age of 82. He had been hospitalized over the recent period, with the cause of death being heart failure.

The Five-Member Appeal Court for Suspensions accepted the application for suspension of the execution of the sentence of Akis Tsochatzopoulos for serious health reasons.

A harsh and rather improper feud has sprung up between jailed for money laundering former PASOK minister Akis Tsochatzopoulos and deputy health minister Pavlos Polakis on the occasion of the latter's post on Facebook with harsh criticisms of Vicky Stamatis' (Tsohatzopoulos' wife) indecent gesture towards reporters after her conviction by the Athens Five-Member Appeals Court on the case of kickbacks.
