The new Mitsotakis government on Monday evening received a vote of confidence by 158 deputies in the 300-MP Parliament, as widely expected, with 142 deputies voting against.
The three-day debate in parliament on a vote of confidence in the government requested by Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will conclude with a roll-call vote at 20:00.
"This is the last act of a political farce", main opposition leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis said, addressing the parliament during a plenary session on the vote of confidence.
