Greek, Israeli, and US military personnel are meeting in Crete, Tuesday to kick off Noble Dina 2014, a two-week, trilateral exercise in the Mediterranean Sea.

The Greek-Israeli strategic relationship that was cemented through the meeting between PMs Antonis Samaras and Binyamin Netanyahu last October and the signing of more than ten agreements is being further augmented through a two day visit by Israeli foreign minister Avigdor Liebermann to Athens.

Greece launched an international tender for a study on the feasibility of a proposed pipeline to carry gas from Israel and Cyprus in an effort to reduce dependence on Russian supplies.
