ATHENS, Greece — The American Hellenic Institute (AHI) honored Olga Bornozi, Managing Director of Capital Link, with the prestigious Hellenic Heritage Public Service Award during its Official Annual Dinner held on May 7 at the Hotel Grande Bretagne in Athens.

The award recognizes Bornozi's longstanding contribution to strengthening Greek-American relations and promoting Greece as a strategic investment destination within the international financial community through the work of Capital Link.

For three decades, Capital Link has played a significant role in connecting Greece with global markets, fostering dialogue between business leaders, investors, institutions, and policymakers. Through its international conferences and investment forums, the organization has helped showcase opportunities in Greece while strengthening economic and business ties between Greece and the United States.

Today, Capital Link hosts conferences in 11 major financial and business centers around the world, including New York, London, Oslo, Hamburg, Athens, Limassol, Dubai, Shanghai, Tokyo, Singapore, and Hong Kong. These events have become recognized platforms for promoting investment, facilitating partnerships, and encouraging collaboration across international markets.

Accepting the award, Bornozi emphasized that the recognition reflected a collective achievement.

She credited Capital Link President Nicolas Bornozis, her brother and business partner, as well as the company's team and supporters, for helping advance the organization's mission over the past 30 years.

"Throughout our journey, our goal has been to bring people, ideas, and opportunities together while building lasting bridges between Greece, the United States, and the global investment community," Bornozi noted.

The evening also honored Ioannis Saracakis, Executive Chairman of the Saracakis Group of Companies and President of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, who received the Hellenic Heritage Achievement Award in recognition of his contributions to business and public service.

The event underscored the enduring relationship between Greece and the United States and brought together prominent figures from government, business, diplomacy, and civil society. Among those in attendance was U.S. Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle, whose remarks highlighted the importance of continued cooperation between the two nations.

Opening remarks were delivered by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yiannis Loverdos. Additional distinguished guests included Chief of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff General Dimitrios Choupis, Civil Governor of Mount Athos Alkiviadis Stefanis, and numerous leaders from Greece's political, business, and institutional sectors.

Founded in 1974 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., the American Hellenic Institute is a non-profit public policy organization dedicated to advancing U.S. interests involving Greece, Cyprus, the Eastern Mediterranean, and Southern Europe. Through policy research, advocacy, educational initiatives, and engagement with government leaders, AHI has become a leading voice within the Greek-American community and a key contributor to strengthening bilateral relations between Greece and the United States.

The recognition of Olga Bornozi and Capital Link reflects the growing importance of economic diplomacy and private-sector leadership in fostering international cooperation, investment, and mutual understanding between the two countries.
