Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Wednesday was received by Greek President Karolos Papoulias at the Presidential Mansion.

Greece intends to table a request for a six-month extension to the loan agreement on Wednesday, sources said on Tuesday.

A criminal group, which is involved in robberies and aggravated burglaries in the area of Karditsa, and the murder of an elderly woman during a robbery with loot one TV set, was taken down by police officers of the Karditsa Security Department.

After delaying the decision, Alexis Tsipras announced on Tuesday that Prokopis Pavlopoulos will be the government’s candidate for the next President of the Republic to replace outgoing Karolos Papoulias.
