Convicted members of the terrorist group Revolutionary Struggle, Panayiota Roupa and her partner Nikos Maziotis started a hunger strike on Thursday, claiming the police is refusing to hand over custody of their six-year-old son to Roupa’s relatives as revenge for “choosing the armed struggle”.

A Supreme Court prosecutor ordered on Thursday the reopening of all cases relating to a self-proclaimed billionaire, to investigate allegations he is encouraging people not to pay their taxes and social security contributions.

Stormy winds on Thursday led port authorities to issue a sailing ban for ferries bound for the Cyclades, Crete, the Dodecanese and the northeastern Aegean. A similar ban has been issued by the ports of Heraklion and Chania, while routes from Piraeus to the Saronic Gulf and Salamina are still in operation.
