The Greek law enforcement community will be out in force ahead of Angela Merkel's visit to Athens on Friday. All entrances to downtown Athens will be blocked from 11.30 am until 21.30 pm and public assembly and demonstrations are prohibited.

Bonhams Auction house held the second Greek Sale today, April 9 in London.  Works of famous Greek artists, including Tsarouhis, Parthenis, Tsingos, Lytras, Egonopoulos, Hadjikyriakos-Ghikas and others were auctioned this afternoon.

Greek general government΄s primary surplus totaled 3.5 billion euros in the first two months of 2014, sharply up from 1.4 billion euros in the corresponding period in 2013, Finance Alternate Minister Christos Staikouras said.
