The new Greek government is considering whether to veto further sanctions against Russia over the war in Ukraine, according to news daily Kathimerini sources, after Athens voiced objections to a joint statement from European Union leaders calling for such action.

The Greek nationality to all migrants' children that were born and raised in Greece, announced Alternate Migration Policy Ministry Tasia Christodoulopoulou speaking on Wednesday to private radio "Sto Kokkino".

“We do not agree with the spirit of the sanctions against Russia, which has adverse repercussions not only in agriculture as far as the economy of our country is concerned, but also more generally," said Alternate Foreign Minister for European Affairs Nikos Chountis.
