Τhe son of Pavlos De Gres and Marie Chantal, 22-year-old Odysseas, had an accident while traveling in Italy over Easter.
The young man suffered a head injury.
On Wednesday night, Marie Chantal wrote about the incident in an Instagram post, talking about the upheaval the incident caused in the family.
As she stated, her son fell and was seriously injured, however, his health condition is now under control.
Due to this incident, the family's plans for Easter changed, as they had to immediately go to Florence to be by their son's side. Then, due to his condition, they returned to London by train, as he is not allowed to travel by air for about a month.
“Ah, the quiet twists and turns of parenting – even as they grow older, they still tug at your heartstrings in the deepest ways. My sweet Ody fell and hit his head. Everything is thankfully under control now but it meant a sudden change of plans… we had to forget our Orthodox Easter with the family and rush to Florence to be with him and bring him home. He was a soldier and now he’s not flying for a month, so we made the long journey back to London by train. Not exactly the Easter we had imagined, but I’m just grateful that he’s safe and recovering. I’m so deeply grateful to the wonderful doctors and nurses in Florence who looked after him so well, and especially to his loving friends who looked after him until we arrived. "It really means so much to me," Marie Chantal wrote.
