Two Greeks are said to be among the thousands injured in the deadly explosion that took place yesterday in the port of Beirut.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias met with his Lebanese counterpart Nassif Hitti, President of Lebanon Michel Aounthe and the president of the Lebanese parliament, Nabih Berri, in Beirut on Wednesday, and after these meetings he said that "Lebanese-Greek relations are based upon solid foundations of friendship and mutual respect."
Europe has not assumed the obligations it should have assumed in the Middle East war, President Prokopios Pavlopoulos stressed on Thursday during his meeting with the president of Lebanon, General Michel Aoun.
