Ankara will support Greece's candidacy for a non-permanent seat in the United Nations Security Council 2025-2026, Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias and Turkish Foreign Affairs Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu announced on Monday after their meeting in Brussels.

The President Cyprus Mr. Nicos Anastasiades, before departing New York, had lunch with the Permanent Representatives of the five Permanent Members of the UN Security Council in New York.

In a unanimous decision yesterday, the United Nations Security Council adopted Resolution 2168, that continues the UN Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus mandate, until January 31, 2015.
