Δύο τουρκικά αεροσκάφη F-16, που εισήλθαν στο FIR Αθηνών χωρίς να καταθέσουν σχέδιο πτήσης, στις 9:34 π.μ πέταξαν πάνω από την Κίναρο- ανατολικά Αμοργού-δυτικά Λέρου, Καλύμνου- σε ύψος 27.000 ποδιών.
Τα τουρκικά αεροσκάφη αναγνωρίσθηκαν και αναχαιτίσθηκαν από αντίστοιχα ελληνικά μαχητικά, σύμφωνα με τους διεθνείς κανόνες, κατά πάγια τακτική.
