US Treasury Secretary Jack Lew spoke with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and newly appointed Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos.

European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker on Tuesday, speaking at the plenary of the European Parliament, urged all parties to return to the negotiating table on the Greek issue.

Euclid Tsakalotos has been named Greece's new finance minister, replacing outgoing Yanis Varoufakis.

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos will go to Brussels to present to the lenders to Greece's new proposal for an agreement with the latter to consider three scenarios for the next day.
