A few days after the renewal of the strategic cooperation between Athens and Paris, Berlin is making a dynamic comeback, with the visit of the German Foreign Minister linked to the effort to strengthen the German presence in the mammoth Greek armaments program.

Nikos Panagiotopoulos expressed his belief that the country's Armed Forces are being re-equipped "within the framework of a large and organized plan", with the contribution of the staffs of the Army, Navy and Air Force.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry's spokesman Alexandros Gennimatas on Wednesday evening said that Turkey's "provocative violations of Greek sovereignty over the air or at sea are not legitimized by their repetition or by being called 'routine'."
