The Hellenic Navy is accelerating its modernization efforts, exploring the acquisition of new warships in response to growing regional tensions and Turkey's expanding naval capabilities.

Movements at all levels are being made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to "decongest" the situation that has been caused south of Kasos and Karpathos on the occasion of Turkey's attempt to impose the Turko-Libyan Memorandum on the field and the claim on the Greek continental shelf.

For many months, the Turkish regime has done everything to show even the most conscientious Europeans that it seeks to put pressure on Greece, to the point that Athens' only choice will be to react.
