Minister for Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias sent a clear message to Turkey following a meeting with his Cypriot counterpart, Nikos Christodoulides, in Athens stressing it was time Turkey understood that its behaviour in the region was counterproductive and resulted in its gradual isolation and condemnation from the international community.
Developments in the region, EU – Turkey relations and the Cyprus problem are expected to be discussed, among other issues, during a meeting tomorrow between the Foreign Affairs Ministers of Greece and Cyprus, with the aim of making “certain very specific moves in the immediate future,” Cyprus’ FM Nikos Christodoulides said, on Sunday.
Cyprus Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulidis is paying an official visit to Greece on Monday, during which he will sign a Memorandum of Understanding for Political Consultations and Technical Cooperation with his Greek counterpart Nikos Dendias. Mr Christodoulides will be received in separate meetings by the President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
