Greece is stepping up efforts to strengthen its position in maritime tourism, with a particular focus on yachting, Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni said as she opened the 11th Mediterranean Yacht Show in Nafplio on Saturday, May 2.

The European Union is prepared to respond if the United States moves ahead with plans to raise tariffs on European cars and trucks, according to remarks made by Greece’s finance minister and Eurogroup president in an interview with Bloomberg.

The prolonged outbreak of sheep pox last year is now leaving a visible mark on Greece’s dairy sector, particularly its feta industry. The most significant consequence has been a drop in the volume of sheep’s milk collected by cheesemakers toward the end of 2025—and beyond—resulting in reduced feta production for the current season.
