A furor has broken out broke because of a twitted response from defense minister Panos Kammenos to those who attacked him for the holiday he went on in Monaco and while the name negotiations with FYROM were underway.

The honorary title of Rear Admiral bestowed on the heroine of the Greek War of Independence Laskarina Bouboulina (assassinated in 1825), by defense minister Panos Kammenos, produced mirth and scathing comments on social media.

Turkish Minister for EU Affairs Omer Celik posted a number of tweets on his account on Easter Sunday, labelling Greek Minister of Defence Panos Kammenos a “political charlatan” and calling on the European Union to condemn him.
