Turkey's persistent breach of the rules, whether with the use of maps or not, does not lead to legal rights, the Greek Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday, in response to a letter by Turkey's permanent representative to the United Nations on maritime zones addressed to the UN Secretary General.
The Greek Consulate General in Istanbul announced that on Thursday, March 26, at 17:20 (Ankara time), there will be an Aegean Airlines emergency flight to repatriate Greek citizens and third-country nationals with Greek residence permits, who have so far expressed interest.
From midnight all passenger flights from Britain and Turkey to Greece are stopped. As stated in the Joint Ministerial Decision, the government is taking this measure for preventive reasons to protect public health from further spread of coronavirus.
