The South Aegean seems to occupy the largest share in the success story of Greece in Tourism in 2021, despite the unfavorable environment formed by the pandemic, since, before the end of August, the traffic from the direct international flights at the airports of Cyclades and Dodecanese exceeds by more than 500,000 arrivals for the entire 2020 tourist season, according to the South Aegean Tourism Initiative.

Aiming at the tourism promotion of the Metropolitan and wider area of ​​Athens and its emergence as an international competitive destination, the Hellenic Tourism Organization (EOT) and the Municipality of Athens through its Development and Tourism Promotion Company (EATA) signed a three-year memorandum of cooperation.

The opening of tourism in Greece has already begun to record its first great success as Greece is at the top of the Bloomberg list with the most superyacht visits this summer.
