Greece's Culture Ministry has announced significant discoveries at the famous Antikythera shipwreck, shedding new light on the maritime history of the region and the lives lost in the ancient disaster.

A new tremendous discovery was made according to the Israeli press, in the Aegean. It is probably one of the most important archaeological finds that have been found in recent years.

The ship is believed to have sunk in the first century BC (between 85 and 60 BC), while the mechanism is estimated to have been built between 100 and 150 BC.
