Ticket revenues at Greece's archaeological sites and museums were up 55 pct in the eight-month period from January to August 2016, compared with the same period in the previous year, the Archaeological Revenues Fund reported on Monday.

The Central Archaeological Council on Tuesday approved a ministry of Culture proposal to increase entrance prices for archaeological sites and museums in Greece as of January 1, 2016, based on each site’s numbers of visitors.
