Greek museums, forced to shut their gates to the public in November, used lockdown time to find alternative ways to keep in touch with the public, carry out needed maintenance work, and expand the objects on show for the day actual visits are allowed.

The Ministry of Culture is offering a tour of the digital exhibition created by the Byzantine and Christian Museum, available on Holy Wednesday, via its social media pages.

The exhibition "Icons from Tretyakov Gallery-The Russian icon painting after the fall of Constantinople" will be inaugurated by Culture Minister Aristidis Baltas on Monday at 19:30 at the Byzantine and Christian Museum in Athens.
