Greece's cafes and restaurants are preparing to reopen for business on Monday after a long hiatus, as they closed just over two months ago due to the coronavirus curfews, home quarantines and the strict preventive measures imposed by health authorities against the pandemic. 

The government on Saturday decided to have restaurants and cafes open for business on May 25, following the positive recommendation of the Infectious Diseases Committee at the Health Ministry.
