An overnight curfew will come into effect across the country starting on Friday, November 13, between the hours of 21:00 to 05:00 every day. During those hours, citizens must restrict their outings to the bare minimum: only for work (with a permit), health emergencies and walking their pets.

The government and the committee of infectious disease specialists have been alerted to the situation of the rapid spread of the coronavirus in Northern Greece and mainly in Thessaloniki, and now thoughts of new measures are on the table.

The lockdown has been in effect since Saturday, but some seem uneasy about both the restrictions and the fact that the coronavirus is on the rise, threatening human lives.
