Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras asked British counterpart Theresa May her support in achieving a “fair and viable” solution for Cyprus during a phone call on Tuesday, his office said in a press release. 

There are difficulties in the solution of the Cyprus issue, SYRIZA MEP Kostas Chryssogonos on Wednesday said in statements to  radio station Praktoreio 104.9 FM.

The National Council on Foreign Policy chaired by Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias will convene for second time in 2016 on the Cyprus issue at the Foreign Ministry on Friday.
