The Hellenic Defense Systems and armed forces ratified an 18.5 million euro contract last week, for the acquirement of 265,000 40 mm NATO approved army ammunitions, as reported by ANA.

The armed forces and Hellenic Defence Systems (EAS) signed an 18.5-million-euro agreement late on Wednesday for the purchase of 265,000 40mm NATO-certified ammunition, for the army.

In its efforts to meet privatization targets agreed upon with the Troika of lenders, the government has slated three problematic, to varying degrees, industries for privatization. These are Hellenic Defense Systems (EAS), Hellenic Vehicle Industry (ELVO) and LARKO mining and metallurgy firm.
