Greece recalled its ambassador to the Czech Republic on Tuesday, following a decision by the Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias who was responding to derogatory comments made by the country’s President Miloš Zeman against Greece.

The procedures for the election of new party leader will start immediately, said New Democracy (ND) in an announcement issued on Tuesday.

The Energy Ministry had received three bids for the concession of licenses for surveying and extracting hydrocarbons in 20 areas in the Ionian Sea and south of Crete before the deadline set for Tuesday, although the capital controls imposed do not allow for the publication of interested parties.
