Turkey will be forced to let Syrian refugees on its territory flee to Europe if the West does not offer more assistance to the country and support in its plan to create a safe haven for refugees, Recep Tayyip Erdogan told Reuters in an interview,  doubling down on his threats against Europe.

"On Friday, hundreds of refugees arrived within an hour on the Greek island," writes the German daily Bild, paintin a dark picture of the situation in Lesvos.

“No one can stop us in the eastern Mediterranean”, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said while addressing Turkey’s national assembly on occasion of the 948th anniversary of the Battle of Manzikert.
