The rally of tens of thousands of Greeks in Thessaloniki in protest of the use of the name Macedonia by FYROM drew the attention of international media outlets.

Media from FYROM revealed the names put on the table by the UN special negotiator Matthew Nimetz during talks between the Greek and FYROM delegations in New York on the name dispute.

Despite a climate of optimism being cultivated both in Greece and FYROM on a possible solution for the “Macedonia” name dispute, FYROM’s Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov told online news-site “balkaninsight.com” that it was too early to be overoptimistic feelings.
