Greek police arrested four people—three Turkish nationals and one Greek citizen—in a targeted raid recently aimed at dismantling a Turkish organized crime network operating in the Athens area.

The recent murder of a 39-year-old Turkish man in Athens may be connected to a deadly incident in a Piraeus supermarket this past June, according to Greek homicide investigators. 

While their main focus is on property crimes (theft, burglaries, robberies), these gangs also launder their money by establishing businesses and purchasing real estate. It is becoming more common for them to bribe public officials.
