The President of the Hellenic Republic, Prokopis Pavlopoulos attended the 75th D-Day commemorations in Portsmouth on Wednesday, the departure point for the largest portion of the WWII Allied Forces’ fleet for Normandy.

Greek President Prokopios Pavlopoulos contacted the members of the Hellenic Community in Anchorage, Alaska, in the United States and wished them Happy New Year.

“We do not forget the shameful crime and its victims”, stated the Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos in his message on the Pontic Genocide Memorial Day (May 19th) and called for the perpetrators of the crime, even now, to ask to be forgiven.
