Papakostantinou to face justice after Easter

Former finance minister Giorgos Papakonstantinou will be called to appear and answer questions at the special supreme court inquisitor Iosif Talaganidis, on the issue of the Lagarde List, after Easter.

Lagarde list probe at a snail's pace

The head of financial crimes unit SDOE, Stelios Stasinopoulos told deputy-members of the Committee on Institutions and Transparency that checks begun after the summer and of the 1700 persons on the list, 266 checks have been initiated of which 155 are at an advanced stage.

The Greek justice system has been dealing with high profile corruption cases recently, with revelations cascading daily.
