The events for the national anniversary of March 25th were held in Montreal with particular splendor and high representation last weekend, which coincided this year with the celebration of the 120th anniversary of the founding of the Greek Community of Greater Montreal.

Montreal’s City Hall echoed with cries of “LONG LIVE GREECE”, as the Greek flag waved in the council chambers where Mayor Valerie Plante spoke about the Greek revolution and Greece’s gigantic struggle for liberation.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis attended the March 25 parade of Greek Community associations of Greater Montreal, joined by his Canadian counterpart Justin Trudeau, on Sunday (local time).
