Former Cabinet Secretary and Prime Ministerial Advisor Panayiotis Baltakos shot down claims that he is vying to create his own political party, however he did comment that New Democracy should increase its efforts in gaining additional right-winged supporters.

An anti-racism bill that was met by differing opinions by the two ruling parties of Greece, has finally reached a provisional agreement.

Greek President Karolos Papoulias stated during a Parliamentary exhibit on democracy's commencement, "Today is a day of remembrance and great respect to those who fought, were imprisoned, were exiled so as to restore democracy in Greece. Today we honour all of them and is a shining example for all of us, that in times of crisis the flame of freedom and democratic institutions must prevail", as reported by ANA-MPA.
