Europe has not assumed the obligations it should have assumed in the Middle East war, President Prokopios Pavlopoulos stressed on Thursday during his meeting with the president of Lebanon, General Michel Aoun.

President Pavlopoulos underlined the need for a solid front of co-responsibility and coordination of our actions for the promotion of the country, the people and the nation's interests in his message for the Greek Independence Day on March 25.

"Through our seamless unity we affirm our strong conviction that, as a nation, we are now well aware that we achieve the great and important things when we are united," President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopios Pavlopoulos said in his speech on Sunday at the 10th memorial ceremony for the late president of Cyprus Tassos Papadopoulos.
