Greek President Prokopios Pavlopoulos sent multiple messages during his meeting with Eurogroup chief Jeroen Dijsselbloem in Athens on Monday, including on the outcome of the German elections and the economic crisis.

“For us, the Greeks, freedom is an existential principle and hence a way of life. Both enemies and friends must know this truth,” Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos said on Sunday during his proclamation as an honorable citizen of the Municipality of Viannos.

President Prokopis Pavlopolos will travel to Malta on Sept. 14-15 where he will participate in the 13th Arraiolos Group Informal Meeting hosted by the Maltese President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca.
