Plaka bridge, the historic single-arch stone wonder of Epirus, fully reconstructed
The single-arch stone bridge of Plaka, the largest of its kind in the Balkans, which collapsed over Arachthos River five years ago during the floods in February 2015 is reconstructed and once again connects Tzoumerka mountains with the Katsanohoria villages in the region of Epirus.

Work to restore historic Plaka bridge could be in full swing this summer
As efforts to select a contractor enter the final phase, works to restore the historic Plaka bridge in Epiros could be well underway by the summer, the infrastructure and transport ministry reported on Thursday. The ministry launched a tender for the project on April 18, inviting companies to submit offers for the 4,750,000-euro project.
