At ten in the morning, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and his wife arrived at the Athens Cathedral to attend the liturgy.

Mike Pompeo, in Athens, was charming. A ‘good ol’ boy” from Kansas joked with PM Mitsotakis, spoke of common defence interests with Defence minister Panagiotopoulos, and signed a defence agreenent with his Greek counterpart, Nikos Dendias.

After a week of travelling to Italy, Montenegro and the Republic of North Macedonia, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo arrived on Friday evening at Athens International Airport, where he was welcomed by his Greek counterpart, Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias.
