Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Friday received European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs Pierre Moscovici at the Maximos Mansion.

Greek state budget recorded a primary surplus of 1.779 billion euros in the January-July period, from a budget target of a primary deficit of 803 million and a primary surplus of 926 million in the same period last year, the Finance Ministry said in a report on Friday.

The Governor of the Bank of Greece, Yiannis Stournaras characterized the target for a primary surplus of 3.5% for this year as “unattainable”.
