Greek shipowner George Prokopiou, whose ships have repeatedly transited the Strait of Hormuz during the Iran-Iraq war, has sent its largest oil supertanker since the conflict began. The Atokos, a VLCC (Very Large Crude Carrier) with a capacity of about 2 million barrels, recorded a position signal in the Indian Ocean on Friday, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. This suggests that it had transited the Strait of Hormuz in the previous days with its tracking transmitter turned off.

It is the largest -outside of the tourist real estate market- and is now an innovative investment that is being launched, with private funding, right now in the heart of the center of Athens, aiming to bring an air of modern megacities to Greek capital.
