Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will reiterate his position that the refugee crisis must be seen as a joint European problem and not as one that concerns only the country of entry when he attends the Valletta Summit on Wednesday and Thursday which will focus on action for migration

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Friday told participants at a high-level meeting convened on the refugees issue on that "we are facing a problem beyond our powers."

"The Aegean Sea does not only wash ashore bodies of children, but it washes ashore the EU culture," Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said in Parliament.
